I hope everyone had an amazing day celebrating Father's day with their loved ones. This weekend has been beautiful weather and we decided to make the most of it by going for an 8km walk around Herdsman Lake. It was an eventful day, with our shoes being drenched with muddy water because the entire track and grass surrounding it was flooded, to feeling athletic because I went for 3 sprints. After we went for a walk, we decided to stop by at Ingredient Tree for lunch. We weren't expecting it to have any free tables because it was Father's day, but luckily there was. I never get a savoury breakfast dish, but this time I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and try the Veg plate. It was so delicious and I am really glad I tried it because it has opened a new door of food. We always seem to go for spontaneous walks on Mother's and Father's day, and it is always such a picturesque experience. I wanted to share this in a blog post not only to show off the amazing photos, but also to encourage you to go out and get some fresh air. It doesn't have to be anything special, just go for a walk along the beach or around a swamp.
